Piculus Story
Welcome to Piculus’ world! We are a creative team which designs funny kids’ accessories and colourful birth gifts !
Our story begins in 2010, during an outing afternoon junk boat-trip with some friends in Hong Kong…Sandrine and Guéric start to figure out a funny and playful ange of kids’ accessories. Actually Sandrine works at that point for a big French baby products range and is in charge of auditing the production plants and Guéric works as a Designer for an international gift accessories agency…
So, back to France not long after that, it was time to take advantage of these two different profiles and creative skills and Piculus is launched with a first new product in its collection: the “Dummy Head” , this funny, original and unique soother-box, designed by Guéric !...
Off you go ! Production is launched, designed is registered, and our first Parisians retailer-shops and customers are under the spell of our first collection !
Quickly, our range has enlarged and according to chance encounters, other designers have bring their original creative touch to Piculus’ universe. Now our collection proposes different kind of accessories to create a warm and poetic environnement for every child, such as baby bibs, deco cushions, lamps, stationery…etc.
By the way, we almost forgot to introduce you with Piculus ! What is a Piculus actually ? That’s a kind of tropical bird whose call sounds like…human giggles ! Funny and colourful, he naturally became our bird-mascot and the logo of our brand !
